Man Utd takeover: Gary Neville slams Glazers for 'embarrassing' sale process
Manchester United legend Gary Neville has lashed out at the club's owners, the Glazer family, for their indecision on their potential sale.
The Glazers confirmed back in November that they would consider offers of outside investment or for a party to buy the club.
They have received offers from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani for Man Utd but they have not confirmed a preferred bidder, despite setting an initial deadline of April 28 for the process.
Sheikh Jassim recently launched his fifth and 'final' bid for total control of Man Utd and he is confident of securing a deal ahead of Ratcliffe, though the club have played down reports of entering an exclusivity period with the Qatari.
The Glazers have been universally unpopular among Man Utd supporters ever since they took control of the club back in 2005 and fans have been longing for their exit since.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Neville voiced his anger at the Glazers extending the sale process.
"[The sale process is] embarrassing. But it's what they have done, drag everything out. Always in their best interests," Neville bemoaned.
"Fans not being updated by owners on ownership's sale is not good enough but it's fitting with how they have operated for 20 years now."
Man Utd co-chairman Avram Glazer, who has scarcely visited Old Trafford across nearly two decades of ownership, was present at the club's three cup finals at Wembley this season. He twice watched the men's team in their Carabao Cup win against Newcastle and FA Cup loss to Man City, while he was in attendance as the women's team fell to Chelsea in their FA Cup defeat.
