According to multiple reports, former Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has landed with the Los Angeles Rams after spending the offseason auditioning on social media for his next job. Wentz, the No. 2 overall pick in the draft, will reportedly serve as Matthew Stafford’s backup. Stafford recently suffered a thumb injury, but he is expected to return after the team’s Week 10 bye. On Tuesday, the Rams signed Wentz to join their quarterback room, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Wentz had remained unsigned for most of 2023 after being released by the Commanders in March. Luis Diaz sent a powerful message after scoring a late equaliser for Liverpool on Sunday. The Colombian has endured a nightmare week after his parents were taken hostage by kidnappers on 29 October. Diaz’ mother has now been safely reunited with the rest of the family, but the whereabouts of his father is still unknown.
