Image
Quartararo collided with RNF Aprilia’s Oliveira on the opening lap of Sunday’s main race at Turn 2, which led to the red flags being shown. The Yamaha rider was able to restart the race, while Oliveira was taken to the medical centre where he was diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder. On his way to the grid for the restart, Quartararo was given a long lap penalty for the incident. Speaking about the penalty , Quartararo said: “[I was] surprised and we don’t see any reason why. Maio [Meregalli, Yamaha boss] went to race direction to have an explanation , but no clear explanation was said. “From our side I think we don’t see anything strange and I think it’s clear ly not a penalty . But, it’s in the past, and I made it twice. “I mean, first I think they said that they are stressed in this situation, they are in a rush. But it’s difficult to say ‘you are penalised’ when you are not sure and after the race you are not fully agreed it’s a penalty.” Quartararo had to serve t...

Leclerc told media, including TheFOXposts.Com . "There was a cat in the middle of the road and the Safety Car had to stop, but I think I was probably the only one who saw that? "In the exit of Turn 1, there was a cat and the Safety Car braked. It wasn't too bad, but I just felt like I was going to say!" In response to this revelation during the post-Sprint press conference, race winner Sergio Perez joked of his cat-owning teamma...

How much money Everton could lose if relegated from Premier League

Image
For a second year running, football fans have found themselves asking the question: 'Could Everton actually go down?' This year, the situation is arguably looking even bleaker. They are 19th with five games left to play and even with such an experienced coach like Sean Dyche at the helm, it is extremely hard to see where the points are coming from. The revolt on Merseyside from the fans will be vicious if the Toffees do go down to the Championship, but the owners of the club will be more concerned with what it means for the finances. As their recent financial results showed, they could be the team most affected of the three that go down. Current Premier League table, top scorers & upcoming fixtures manual When were Everton last out of the Premier League? Everton were founding members of the Premier League in 1992 but their History in the top flight goes back much further than that. The last time that the Toffees were relegated from the top flight of English football was w...

How Liberty learnt from the NFL to turn F1 around

Image
In the final years of the Bernie Ecclestone/CVC Capital Partners-led Formula 1 , the financial situation for many of the teams was bleak. In 2014, both Marussia and Caterham were forced to miss Grands Prix towards the end of the season due to a lack of money, and although the former would stagger on as Manor Marussia and then Manor, by the end of 2016, both were gone. At the same time, Sauber (now badged as Alfa Romeo) were in a dire situation, only surviving after 2016 thanks to a ninth place finish (and two points) by Felipe Nasr in a very wet Brazilian Grand Prix that ultimately sent Manor under. Others such as Force India and Williams also came close after Liberty Media assumed control in time for the 2017 season, but thanks to the explosive growth the series is enjoying worldwide, teams are starting to turn a profit. Profits for F1 as a whole continue to grow and – thanks to the prize revenue structure – this means that teams are enjoying bigger slices of the pie, maki...

The 83-year-old retiree can't afford to buy more if they don't have enough kick — not with her small pension and Hungary facing the biggest spike in food prices in the European Union. “I don't buy fruits. We got potatoes from the municipality, so we don’t have to buy that, but onions became expensive," said Gozon, who has stopped buying dairy and rarely shops for meat. Food prices have risen dramatically across Europe in recent months, jumping 19.6% in March from a year earlier and becoming the main driver of inflation as energy costs have fallen. The crush took place in the Old City in the center of Sanaa when hundreds of poor people gathered at an event organized by merchants, according to the Houthi-run Interior Ministry. The ministry's spokesman, Brig. Abdel-Khaleq al-Aghri, blamed the crush on the “random distribution” of funds without coordination with local authorities. The tragedy came ahead of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the Islamic holy month Ramadan later this week. Dozens of injured people were taken to nearby hospitals. Supreme Court may require employers to be more accommodating of religion

The Supreme Court on Tuesday appeared to agree on the need to clarify a long-standing rule for when U.S. employers must accommodate the religious practices of employees. The Supreme Court on Tuesday appeared to agree on the need to clarify a long-standing rule for when U.S. employer s must accommodate the religious practices of employees but stopped short of suggesting a former U.S. Postal Service letter carrier deserves his job back. The case, which could have an impact on workplaces across America, involves Gerald Groff, an evangelical Christian, who was disciplined by USPS for skipping Sunday shifts to observe the Sabbath rather than deliver packages for Amazon as assigned. He later resigned. "Employees should not be forced to choose between their faith and their job," Groff's attorney Aaron Streett told the justices. The Postal Service has said Groff's absences created a significant burden on his coworkers and Business operations -- especially during the peak ho...
